Harry laid on his back, staring at the ceiling. Today was the day. He sat up and looked at his clock. It was 5:45 in the morning. Ron and Hermione would be here in about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Harry stood up and looked around his room. The room, for the first time in the history of Harry's time at the Dursley's was clean. After all, in 2 hours and 15 minutes, the room would no longer be his. No longer would the Dursley’s allow Harry to call Number 4 Privet Drive, his home.
Unable to sleep Harry walked over to the small bag that was next to the door, which held the few possessions that he would need: his wand, his invisibly cloak, and other stuff. Harry fumbled around in the bag until be found what he was looking for, a photo album with pictures of his parents. Harry opened up the album and looked at the first picture. There he saw his parents starring up at his and smiling, waving their hands manically. Harry smiled.
For the hour Harry sat there smiling back at the pictures of his parents. Looking at the clock, he saw it was now 6:41. Harry walked back to his bag and put the album back. He picked up his bag, and his Firebolt, which was laying nest to it, and opened the bedroom door. The house was quiet. The knot that had formed in Harry’s stomach tightened. He closed his eyes.
“Do it for them. There is nothing to be afraid off.” Harry sighed. “There is something to be afraid of. I am going to fight Voldemort. And I might die.”
Harry took a deep breath, and walked down the hallway and down the stairs. At the landing, he could now here sounds coming from the kitchen. He walked into the kitchen to find Aunt Petunia sitting at the table. She was holding a cup of coffee in her hands, her hair curlers still in her hair.
“Good morning,” Harry said quietly.
“Oh, um, good morning...,”She paused, “Harry.”
Silence filled the kitchen for several minutes until Aunt Petunia broke the silence.
“Are you hungry? You should have a good breakfast before you head off.”
Aunt Petunia started bustling around the kitchen. She soon found some sausages and tossed them into the frying pan where they began to sizzle. She pulled out some eggs, and started making those too. In a few moments the kitchen was filled with a delightful smell. Obviously, the smell carried upstairs, because within the next 5 minutes Dudley had managed to walk down the stairs, his nose in the air sniffing.
“Why is breakfast so early?” he yawned.
“This breakfast is for Harry, because he is leaving, and needs a good meal.”
The mean was soon finished. Harry ate every bite on his plate. When he finished he looked at the clock. It was 8:00. Just then there was a knock at the door. Aunt Petunia walked to the door and opened it. There stood Ron and Hermione.
“Are you ready?” Ron asked.
“Yeah.” Harry stood up, “Good bye, Aunt Petunia.”
He then stepped out of the door and out into the sunlight of Privet Drive. He look on last look at the house before taking out his wand and apparating, maybe to never return there again.
